Vol. 502 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

Austin Deasy

Question:

391 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Health and Children if the case of a person (details supplied) in County Waterford will be examined in view of the fact he has been waiting three months to attend St. Lukes Hospital, Dublin; and if there will be further delay in this regard. [8441/99]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Waterford in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
