395 Mr. Gormley asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if staff members of his Department have received funding to attend courses; if so, the number of courses attended; the names of the courses; and the amount paid since June 1997. [7588/99]
Provision for staff training and development is made in the administration budget element of my Department's Vote. Funding is provided to staff to attend both third level and other specific training courses appropriate to their work. A refund of fees scheme for third level education, in accordance with approved procedures, is operated in my Department. Details of training programmes and courses for which fees have been refunded are set out in the following table.
