I propose to take Questions Nos. 468 and 469 together.

Living Alone Allowance

Over 80 Allowance

It is estimated that expenditure on the living alone allowance will amount to £33 million in 1999, while expenditure on the over 80 allowance will amount to an estimated £21 million.
