658 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Education and Science the plans, if any, he has for the establishment of a Dún Laoghaire and Rathdown VEC, a south Dublin VEC and a Fingal VEC to correspond to the three new administrative counties in Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am at present considering a range of legal and administrative issues arising from the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993, and relating to the County Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Vocational Education Committees. My Department is also in the process of consulting with the relevant interested parties. I intend to make proposals to address the situation in the near future.
