Question:112 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when persons (details supplied) in County Mayo will have a REP scheme inspection. [8520/99]
Written Answers. - Rural Environment Protection Scheme.
The persons named have been chosen at random for a pre-payment inspection. This will involve an examination of their agri-environmental plan and an on farm inspection. Over 40,000 farmers are now participating in REPS, due to the large number of inspections required there can be some delay. However, arrangements will be made to have the inspection carried out as soon as possible.
