94 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Education and Science when a decision will be made on the refund of private tuition costs for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the fact his Department has a copy of the child's assessment for several weeks. [11226/99]

My Department's inspectorate has considered assessment details relating to the child in question and has visited the child's school to assess his needs.

I regret that, on the basis of the expert advice available to my Department, the request cannot be acceded to.
