197 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be immediately admitted to Beaumont Hospital for his operation in view of the fact that his condition has dramatically deteriorated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of the voluntary hospital concerned. I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
