132 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 125 and 126 of 21 April 1999, he will make funding available to enable the 21 people on the waiting list for motorised wheelchairs in the Southern Health Board area to be supplied with them as soon as possible; the timeframe in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of aids and appliances, including wheelchairs, for people with disabilities is a matter for the relevant health board. As the Deputy is aware, I have already made substantial additional funding available to help eliminate waiting lists for these items. I have no funding available to me at present to provide further assistance in this regard.
