I propose to take Questions Nos. 8 to 16, inclusive, together.

The British Prime Minister, Mr Tony Blair, and I met with the leaders of the Ulster Unionist Party, the SDLP and Sinn Féin in London last Thursday, and Northern Ireland was the only item on the agenda.

We had a very useful series of meetings and we made progress. The two Governments and the parties remain committed to doing everything we can to reach agreement and everyone is very much focused on finding a resolution of the difficulties.

The parties resumed their discussions on Monday last and the Prime Minister and I will hold further talks with the parties in London.
