120 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason 1999 area aid applications issued with incorrect forage areas on certain parcels of land in view of the fact that the land parcels would have been corrected in 1998 and 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12401/99]
Pre-printed area aid application forms are issued by my Department as a service to farmers. The onus rests with the applicant however, to ensure that the details which are printed on the form are correct. The details printed on the 1999 application forms reflected the position on the date of sending for printing. In all cases corrected subsequent to that date the material would be out of date.
