Michael D'Arcy

Question:

32 Mr. D'Arcy asked the Minister for Defence the plans, if any, he has to develop Wexford bar racks in view of the fact that the south-east coast has no adequate military base; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13312/99]

Wexford barracks accommodates the headquarters of the 10th Battalion FCA and the company headquarters of A Company of the battalion. Nine members of the Permanent Defence Force are stationed at the barracks and make up the training cadre to the battalion.
