Vol. 505 No. 2

Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Noel Ahern

Question:

140 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding approval on a request from Dublin Corporation for £3 million to implement recommendations of the Moylan report on lack of drainage facilities in the garden estates in Ballymun, Dublin 11; if this work will be carried out as part of the regeneration process; and if funding approval will be conveyed to Ballymun Regeneration Limited or Dublin Corporation. [13444/99]

Dublin Corporation's proposal to have the costs of the upgrading and replacement, where necessary, of the drainage network in that part of Ballymun included as part of the overall cost of the redevelopment of Ballymun is under examination in my Department. A decision on the matter will be made as soon as possible.
