37 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when his Department's investigation will be completed into the seizure at Nenagh, County Tipperary, on 5 January 1999 of a consignment of cattle believed to have been smuggled from Northern Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As I have indicated to previous questions, this seizure of cattle was made on a public road outside Nenagh and the suspicion is that the animals were smuggled from Northern Ireland.
It is not possible at this point to indicate when the joint Garda Síochána-Department of Agriculture and Food investigation which is still on-going will be completed.
