Vol. 505 No. 6

Written Answers. - Control of Farm Pollution Scheme.

John Perry

Question:

103 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be entitled to a grant for a slatted shed under the control of farmyard pollution scheme; the plans, if any, in place to re-introduce this scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14280/99]

The person in this case has not applied under the existing control of farm pollution scheme. If he meets the terms and conditions of the proposed national scheme for the control of farm pollution when approved by the European Commission, it will be open to him to apply for grant aid. The proposed national scheme is awaiting the approval of the Commission and will be introduced as soon as this approval is obtained.
