There was a land parcel over-claim on the area aid application of the person concerned and following contact with him the over-claim was resolved. Payments based on the reduced area have been made to the applicant.

The case was chosen at random for a pre-payment compliance inspection. The inspection has now taken place and payment will issue within the next 14 days.

Question:183 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the position on a fodder scheme payment for a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15147/99]
The person named did not lodge an application for the 1998 suckler cow premium, ewe premium or sheep headage schemes and did not hold a milk quota on 1 April 1998. Therefore, he does not qualify for assistance under the general winter fodder scheme.
He did submit an application for assistance under the special fodder hardship fund scheme but he does not qualify for aid under this scheme either, as he applied for arable aid in 1998.
