Cecilia Keaveney

Question:

191 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the position in relation to a headage grant payment for a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15229/99]

A herdowner must submit a valid area aid application for the relevant year in order to be considered for payment of headage grants. The person named did not submit an area aid application in 1998, and consequently payments of headage grants cannot issue. However, if the person named forwards a postal certificate as proof of postage and a copy of his original application, my Department will have it processed.
