263 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if a motorised wheelchair and a pendant alarm will be provided for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 8 who is a total invalid and hopes to move into a house alone. [15170/99]
The provision of aids an appliances in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. Accordingly, I have referred the details of the case provided by the Deputy to the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board and asked him to have the matter examined and reply directly to the Deputy.
