Vol. 506 No. 2

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Ivan Yates

Question:

407 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education and Science if the Holy Family primary school, Glenbrien, Enniscorthy, County Wexford, will be approved for the appointment of a resource teacher in view of its special circumstances (details supplied). [14973/99]

I am aware that the school in question has applied to my Department for the appointment of a resource teacher to cater for a number of children with special needs attending the school.

The case put forward by the school is currently being examined by my Department's inspectorate. A decision on the school's request will be made as soon as the inspector's assessment of the school's needs has been completed.
