Vol. 507 No. 3

Written Answers. - Bovine Diseases.

Michael Moynihan

Question:

128 Mr. M. Moynihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of animals infected with tuberculosis and brucellosis in each county for each month of each of the years from 1996 to date; the number of reactors detected; the number of herds affected; the number of herds depopulated in each of these years; and the comparisons for each year. [16799/99]

The relevant statistics in respect of the years 1996, 1997 and 1998 were provided to the Deputy in response to Parliamentary Question No. 111 of 27 April 1999.

The position to date in 1999 in relation to herd restrictions and the numbers of reactors per county in respect of both diseases is as follows. The relevant statistics are not readily available on a monthly basis.
