184 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Education and Science when the required extension to St. Mary's College, Naas, County Kildare, will proceed to stage six; the timescale envisaged for completion of the work and seeking tenders; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16829/99]
In May 1999, the post primary building unit of my Department authorised the invitation of tenders, subject to a number of amendments, for the proposed extension to St. Mary's College, Naas, County Kildare.
The schools' design team awaits the submission of tenders. When the tender report and recommendation is received in my Department, the matter of authorising the placing of a contract for the project will be considered.
The contract period for this project is anticipated to be a minimum of 12 months.
