Vol. 507 No. 4

Written Answers. - Comhar Report.

Joe Higgins

Question:

177 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the representations, if any, received by his Department in connection with the 1999 to 2002 work programme of Comhar, indicating in each case the name of the body, person or Department making representations and the subject matter to be considered. [17208/99]

Since its establishment, the following persons-bodies have made representations relating to Comhar's work to its secretariat: Mr. Thomas Nolan – environmental awareness-education; Mr. Derek Phelan – ozone depletion and storage of refrigerants; Forum of People with Disabilities –"disability proofing" and an accessible environment for all.

I also refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 193 and 194 of 27 April 1999, in which I outlined three areas I have invited Comhar to consider in the context of its work programme.
