Vol. 508 No. 3

Written Answers - Broadcasting Legislation.

Liam Lawlor

Question:

322 Mr. Lawlor asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if she has devised amendments to the Broadcasting Bill, 1999, to override the Independent Radio and Television Commission prohibition on religious advertising which resulted in the banning of advertisements for religion centred newspapers and periodicals. [18624/99]

I am still considering the matter. I will deal with this issue during the course of the debate on the Broadcasting Bill, 1999.
