Question:

112 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the projects, if any, supported and funded by her Department in Vote 42 of 1998 under subheads C1 and C3; if the total vote of £18,752,000 has been drawn down; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [19301/99]

In 1998 the allocation under subhead C1 of my Department's Vote in the sum of £6.034 million was used as in previous years, to fund the general expenses of the cultural institutions identified in this subhead including the National Museum, National Library, National Archives, Chester Beatty Library, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, the National Concert Hall and the National Archives Advisory Council.

In the case of subhead C3, a total of £5,952,162.20 was expended in respect of various capital projects, details of which are listed on the following table.
