Vol. 508 No. 5

Written Answers. - Ophthalmic Services.

John McGuinness

Question:

91 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in arranging an appointment with an eye consultant at Waterford hospital for a person (details supplied) in County Wexford; and if an early appointment will be arranged. [19413/99]

The provision of medical services to eligible persons in County Wexford in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
