Vol. 509 No. 6

Written Answers. - Cancer Treatment Services.

Willie Penrose

Question:

325 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Health and Children the steps, if any, he will take to ensure that a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath is admitted to St. Luke's Hospital for chemotherapy treatment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21078/99]

The provision of medical treatment in this case is the responsibility of St. Luke's Hospital in the first instance. I have asked the secretary-manager of the hospital to investigate this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
