Vol. 509 No. 6

Written Answers. - Drugs Payment Scheme.

John Perry

Question:

396 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if drugs payment cards will be issued for a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim; the reason they have not been issued; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21821/99]

The registration of persons for the new drugs payment scheme is a matter for the relevant health board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
