475 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs the measure of GNP used within his Department for official purposes; if his Department is using the CSO agreed exhaustive ESA95 figures; if not, when it will update its figures to incorporate this new standard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. With effect from June 1999, the Central Statistics Office has issued GNP figures which are compiled using the ESA95 accounting convention. GNP figures released by the CSO prior to that date used the ESA79 accounting convention. My Department, accordingly, uses the most recent GNP figures as issued by the Central Statistics Office.
