477 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands if RTE has applied to her Department or to the Government for a licence fee increase; if so, if the Government has considered this; her views in this regard; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [21475/99]

RTE has not applied to my Department or to the Government for an increase in the current level of the television licence fee.
