Question:

579 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Education and Science the position on the proposed extension to Scoil Mhuire national school, Ballymore Eustace, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21259/99]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 569 and 579 together.

My Department has initiated architectural planning for the proposed extension to Scoil Mhuire national school and is currently in contact with the school management concerning the appointment of a design team. My Department will also be in touch with the school management regarding an application for grant-aid towards a resource room.
