599 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for Education and Science the situation concerning special educational needs for a child (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21352/99]
I understand that the child to whom the Deputy refers has been identified as requiring additional support from the remedial teacher service.
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that the caseload of the remedial teacher who serves the child in question has been significantly reduced with effect from the commencement of the current school year. This development will facilitate an increased level of service for the child in question.
