623 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will make a statement on recent reports that the Irish medical schools may follow the UK schools in setting up a four year graduate medical school curriculum; and if he will make a statement on any discussions that have taken place between him, the Department of Health and Children and the medical schools on this issue. There have been no discussions between my Department and the Department of Health and Children on the establishment of a four year graduate curriculum for medical students, nor has my Department been involved in discussions with the Higher Education Authority or the individual medical schools on any proposal for a graduate curriculum for medical students.
