111 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Health and Children the expenditure of each tobacco company in respect of both advertising and sponsorship in 1998. [22142/99]

This information was requested from the companies. The information supplied to date on expenditure on advertising and sponsorship for 1998 is as follows:

AdvertisingGallaghers £2.527 million

Players £1.633 million

SponsorshipGallaghers £0.293 million

Players Nil.
