194 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Education and Science if his Department will recognise the 21st birthday of an organisation (details supplied) by providing the funding to allow the appointment of a national organiser or administrator at the earliest possible date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22940/99]

Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin): I have already recognised the 21st anniversary of the organisation in question by way of a special once-off grant of £10,000.

The question of providing additional funds to cater for the creation of a national organiser-administrator post by the organisation is being further at present considered having regard to the question of available funding, etc.
