Question:50 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Finance if he has considered requiring those claiming tax exemption under section 231 of the Taxes Consolidation Act, 1997, to provide a return of income in regard to the exempt income in order to mitigate any possibility of the use of this section for money laundering of money derived from purposes other than that designed to be encouraged by the section.
