125 Mr. Daly asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received the report from the project team regarding the proposed developments at the county hospital in Ennis, County Clare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22999/99]
I presume the Deputy's question refers to the development of an acute psychiatric unit at Ennis General Hospital. This project is progressing through the various stages of the design and planning process. The Mid-Western Health Board lodged an application for planning permission in respect of this development on 4 October 1999. Approval to proceed to stages four and five of the planning process – preparation of detailed working design drawings and specifications – was confirmed to the Mid-Western Health Board by my Department on 27 October 1999.
