Vol. 510 No. 5

Written Answers. - Sale of Lands.

Michael Ring

Question:

193 Mr. Ring asked the Minister of State at the Department of Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the uses individually for the land bank owned by Údarás na Gaeltachta in north Mayo for the past three years; and the income from the pockets of land individually. [23051/99]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 486 of 2 November 1999.

I understand from Údarás na Gaeltachta that it would not be practical, taking into account the time and cost involved, to list the individual uses of, and income from, the individual pockets of the land bank in question; and the following income was generated from property rents, including buildings, and from the sale of lands and property in the Mayo Gaeltacht in the following years: £218,700 £380,000 £466,900.
