Vol. 510 No. 6

Written Answers. - Agenda 2000.

Phil Hogan

Question:

142 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason his Department is not prepared to inform farmers directly regarding the new rules in respect of Agenda 2000, particularly where it relates to premia payments and the changes proposed; the measures, if any, he will take to provide direct information to farmers as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23138/99]

As indicated in my reply to Question No 64 on 9 November 1999, my Department is preparing an information campaign for farmers in relation to the Agenda 2000 measures and I hope to make an announcement on the details in the very near future.
