192 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Finance if he will include blind car passengers as a category eligible for the disabled drivers and disabled passengers tax refund scheme, taking into account the severe restrictions blindness imposes on mobility. [23412/99]
I am sure that the Deputy is aware that the disabled drivers' and disabled passengers' – tax concession – scheme is under review by an interdepartmental group chaired by the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. Pending receipt of the report of the group, I do not think it is prudent for me to comment on the matter one way or another.
