Vol. 510 No. 6

Order of Business. - Tobacco (Health Promotion and Protection) (Amendment) Bill, 1999: First Stage.

I move:

That leave be granted to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to provide for the prohibition on the sale of tobacco products to persons under the age of eighteen years; to provide for the amendment of the Tobacco (Health Promotion and Protection) Act, 1988, and to provide for other connected matters.

Is the Bill opposed?

Question put and agreed to.

Since this is a Private Members' Bill, Second Stage must, under Standing Orders, be taken in Private Members' time.

I move: "That the Bill be taken in Private Members' time."

Question put and agreed to.
