Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the measures, if any, he is proposing in view of the commitment in the review of An Action Programme for the Millennium to target support to home owners with high fixed interest rate local authority loans; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Government's recently published review of An Action Programme for the Millennium contains a commitment to target support to home owners with high fixed rate local authority loans. I intend to put in place measures to implement the commitment as soon as possible.
