Vol. 510 No. 6

Written Answers. - School Staffing.

Willie Penrose

Question:

406 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science the steps, if any, he will take to ensure that a special assistant teacher is provided for Killucan national school, Mullingar, County Westmeath, in view of the fact there are children who require individual attention and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23648/99]

The school to which the Deputy refers to is Scoil Naomh Iosef, Killucan, County Westmeath.

My Department's Inspectorate is currently investigating an application for resource teaching and childcare support to the school in question. On receipt of the inspector's report my Department will contact the school authorities.
