61 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has allocated a grant of £300,000 to Wicklow County Council for the construction of a library in Baltinglass, County Wicklow; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23456/99]
Approval in principle to the construction of a new library in Baltinglass was conveyed to Wicklow County Council last August. Subject to suitable proposals being submitted by the library authority and approved by my Department, funding of over £300,000 will be available for the construction of the new library.
My Department is currently awaiting documentation in relation to the sketch-design and cost plan for this project.
