Vol. 510 No. 6

Written Answers. - Air Incident.

Noel O'Flynn

Question:

126 Mr. O'Flynn asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if she will make a statement on the circumstances in which an Irish registered Boeing 737 jet aircraft apparently depressurised on a flight from Derry to London Stansted on 28 October 1999, the reported failure of the oxygen masks to supply oxygen and the reported lack of explanations and communications from the crew to the passengers during the emergency; and the measures the Irish Aviation Authority is taking to investigate the matter. [23248/99]

I understand that the Irish Aviation Authority is currently investigating the incident referred to in the Deputy's question. Any matters arising from this investigation will be taken up directly with the aircraft operator by the IAA.
