Vol. 511 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Donal Carey

Question:

236 Mr. D. Carey asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has received correspondence from the representative of persons (details supplied) in County Clare regarding the over hasty discharge of their father from the Regional Hospital Limerick at 8 p.m. without his clothes; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that he was re-admitted to Ennis general hospital the following morning; and if he has satisfied himself that due care is being given in the regional hospital. [24515/99]

I have not received the correspondence referred to by the Deputy. The provision of hospital services to persons in Limerick Regional Hospital is the responsibility of the Mid-Western Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
