Question:

355 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Education and Science when his Department received a submission for the new school building at St. Oliver's post-primary school, Oldcastle, County Meath; when this will be approved; the plans, if any, he has to allocate funds for this project in 1999; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24014/99]

The stage three, developed sketch scheme, submission in respect of the proposed extension project at St. Oliver's post-primary school in Oldcastle was received in the building unit of my Department in August 1999. The stage three submission has been approved and the design team has been asked to proceed to stage four, detailed design.

The question of funding will only arise at stage six, tender.
