372 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the need to complete refurbishment works at the community school, Mountmellick, County Laois, where outstanding matters are long overdue; if he will make a statement on the extent of the works to be carried out; and a time schedule for the works. [24119/99]

Architectural planning for the proposed refurbishment of Mountmellick Community School is proceeding.

It is proposed to conduct a refurbishment of a number of specialist rooms including the computer room, the physical education hall, and ancillary accommodation.

It is expected that architectural planning will be completed early in the new year following which the refurbishment works will commence.
