248 Mr. N. Ahern asked the Minister for Education and Science the position on the application from the Sacred Heart school, St. Canice's Road, Glasnevin, Dublin 11, for total refurbishment and resurfacing of the playground; if approval has been given; the cost of the works; the grants, if any, he will provide; if the work will be carried out in 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. An application has been received from the manager of Sacred Heart national school, St. Canice's Road, Glasnevin, Dublin 11 for grant aid towards various works at the school.

A technical assessment was recently carried out at this school on behalf of my Department. The matter will be progressed as quickly as possible.
