Question:

164 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will provide a detailed illustration of the medical card income guidelines; and each age category relevant to the income threshold weekly figures. [27286/99]

Note:
With effect from 1 March 2000 the income guidelines shown above for persons aged 70 years or over will increase by one third. This will be the implementation of the second stage of the budget 1999 decision to double the medical card income guidelines over a three year period, which commenced on 1 March 1999.
