Question:103 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the investigations into a case (details supplied) at Castlerea District Court will be concluded; and the follow up to same. [27429/99]
Written Answers. - Court Sittings.
The Deputy will be aware that, on 5 May 1999, I initiated inquiries in relation to the listing of a court case which was heard in Castlerea District Court on 15 January this year.
I am informed that the case which was the subject of my inquiries is currently the subject of judicial review proceedings. In the circumstances, it would be inappropriate for me to comment on the matter at this juncture.
It remains my intention to report back to the House on this matter as soon as I am in a position do so.
