Vol. 512 No. 8

Written Answers. - Departmental Staff.

Jim Higgins

Question:

118 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the number of persons employed in Land Registry; and the number employed in the various Land Registry offices. [27482/99]

I am informed by the registrar of Titles that the number of staff serving in the Land Registry and Registry of deeds is 541, allocated as follows:

Dublin.

Chancery Street

143

Setanta Centre

149

Irish Life Centre

40

Arus Ui Dhalaigh

14

Santry

3

Registry of Deeds

45

Waterford

147

Total

541

I should mention, of course that this does not include the staff of each Circuit Court office, who provide a local Land Registry office service in each country, with the exception of Dublin and Waterford.
